The Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

Can you feel it?

Now that August has rolled around, there’s a sense that Fall is just around the corner and before we know it, it’ll be the end of the year.

This is our absolute most favourite time of the year (it really is, we aren’t lying!) because it’s the BEST time to revamp some routines! As we approach Fall, that usually means another shift in routines, especially for us moms, as the kid’s schedules change, too. So why not make all the adjustments at the same time, as it’ll be less disruptive to your overall schedule?

Here are our main tips for when it comes to switching up a routine:

  • Look at your current routine and decide what’s working and what’s not working. Chances are, there’s at least something that doesn’t fit in perfectly.
  • Do you need more time + structure in your routine, or do you need more freedom?
  • Determine what your main goals are for the coming months.
  • Does your current routine support your upcoming goals? Why / Why not?
  • How can you manipulate your schedule to best support your new routine?
  • If you don’t currently have an evening routine, consider implementing one (even if it’s just a quick one).

Now, this might look a lot and you might be saying to yourself, “seriously, I just need a quick routine to get my day started, it shouldn’t be this complicated!”.

Well, it’s not really that complicated and your routine should SUPPORT your goals and start your day off on the right foot. Otherwise, what’s the point?!

You could, if you really needed to, go through all the points above and come up with a new routine in about 30 minutes. BUT – and we can’t stress this enough, it’s important to do a trial run of it before putting it into play. If you, like us, start your next new routine on September 1st, you should be starting to look at what your goals are for the coming months and what you NEED your routine to DO for you.

For us, it’s having structure in the morning and creating less chaos at the start of the day. It’s planning time in our day for Focus Work and ensuring we’re dedicating some time to getting closer to our goals.

But we also have an “end of the day” / “evening” routine we’ve been trying to nail down for some time now, so we’re still making adjustments to that. It’s totally okay for a routine to take multiple revisions in order to find the one that really knocks it out of the park for you. It shouldn’t feel like a chore, but rather you should feel energized (or calm, for the evening one!).

We challenge you to create a new Morning Routine + Evening Routine to start in September with us to see what a difference it’ll make in your business. Let’s finish 2022 the best way we can!!

The best visions are big ones.
